My HH Bongo 5 was Desert Gold.... I loved the colour as did everyone else who saw or played it. I must have had a complete brain melt down to have sold it... actually, I can't even remember why I sold it. It was a absolute tone machine.

AFAIK the white Bongo was killed because it was too difficult to match the color of the glossy body paint and the matte neck paint.

Besides, it really DID look like a toilet seat.... (JUST KIDDING!!!!)

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but I've never seen a white Bongo... anyone got pics?

WHOA! Thanks Mark... Man that is hot... and discontinued, right?

Curse my minority, unpopular tastes! I should be more like the masses... :(

It wasn't discontinued due to unpopularity, rather, "the white Bongo was killed because it was too difficult to match the color of the glossy body paint and the matte neck paint."

And Emerald Green is one of the nicest colours too. Interesting that it didn't sell well.

I have a Desert Gold 5HH Bongo too. It is a great colour, but it might be on the block soon...

A big reason why I wear all-black clothes is that my basses are much better looking than I am. I want people to pay attention to them, not me.

The Bongo is a work of art and should be appreciated.

True Gold was going to be the new Desert Gold? I can't believe it didn't sell enough either. I haven't seen True Gold in person yet but I will soon! So glad I got my order in on time!

That young lady singing you are standing behind pretty much assures not many are going to be looking at you or the bongo. :D
