Why you chose EBMM

<div class="bbWrapper">Fender is an off brand generic guitar? <br /> <br /> That one never occurred to me.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper"><blockquote data-attributes="" data-quote="hbucker" data-source="" class="bbCodeBlock bbCodeBlock--expandable bbCodeBlock--quote js-expandWatch"> <div class="bbCodeBlock-title"> hbucker said: </div> <div class="bbCodeBlock-content"> <div class="bbCodeBlock-expandContent js-expandContent "> Fender is an off brand generic guitar? <br /> <br /> That one never occurred to me. </div> <div class="bbCodeBlock-expandLink js-expandLink"><a role="button" tabindex="0">Click to expand...</a></div> </div> </blockquote><br /> <br /> Well, when you compare them to EBMMs, aren&#039;t most all decent # production guitars off-brand? <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin :D" data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /> Personally, if I see them everywhere, it usually becomes somewhat generic to me. Kind of like &quot;velcro&quot; sneakers in the 80s, or kind of like &quot;nu-metal&quot; is becoming now. While there are great bands out there playing the same style of music, it&#039;s oftentimes hard to separate the diamonds from the shards of glass. Yes, Fenders are instruments that have stood the test of time, and great music has been played, and they are popular, but I see so many of the entry level models around that are beat to death and not taken care of that it sickens me - missing knobs, dangling wires, loose plug jacks --- and all it&#039;s in for is a set of strings. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f631.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt="" title="Eek!" data-smilie="9"data-shortname="" /> Usually the rest gets done free of charge.<br /> <br /> That being said, we have a VERY nice used Fender Strat for sale on consignment at the other store in the &quot;blonde&quot; finish. I believe it is an anniversary model. This guitar is practically brand new, and plays as good as it looks. The guy just doesnt want it any more. This would be a nice example of the diamond hanging on the wall between &quot;el cheapo&quot; guitars <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink ;)" data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" /></div>

<div class="bbWrapper">&gt; you&#039;re going to see Blunder logos on many more guitars at all price points...<br /> <br /> Yeeeeesh. Well, it&#039;ll just make the scorned kiddies lust after better guitars.<br /> <br /> Good thing I will say about the American Deluxe&#039;s- the pickups are fantastic. Blunder settled on a vintage sounding Bill Lawrence pickup that sounds tremendous.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I too first saw EBMM when seeing players like EVH &amp; Morse play them. They always looked small to me &amp; figured, since I have big hands, they would be far too small for me. Also, the fact that noone in my area would stock them didn&#039;t help either. I have recently been studying Albert Lee for some country licks &amp; liked how his guitar looked &amp; sounded. I also read great reviews from owners. The final blow for me was when I visited the EBMM booth at the Dallas Guitar Show &amp; played an Albert Lee. I was blown away!!!! It was the most comfortable guitar I had put my hands on &amp; sounded great too. The pickup configuration made it very versatile. I made up my mind then &amp; there that I had to have one. I then sold my PRS McCarty the next week &amp; found a killer deal on an AL on ebay. Guitar was special ordered with piezo &amp; the guy had it only 2 weeks before tax time came &amp; he had to dump it. Got it for a song at $1000 shipped. That&#039;s my story. <br /> <br /> Here are some pics. <br /> <br /> <a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL1.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL1.jpg</a><br /> <a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL2.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL2.jpg</a><br /> <a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL3.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL3.jpg</a><br /> <a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL4.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL4.jpg</a><br /> <a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL5.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/chyde/AL5.jpg</a></div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I had seen evh and john petrucci play them but it never really drove me to buy one. But when I played a sub I was hooked. I currently have a sub HH and a silhouette special and I love them both, when I play guitar 99% of the time its one of my ebmms, and I have 10 other guitars! I do alot of gigs and have had several guitars quit, or have other problems with circutry of the jack at shows, my ebmm&#039;s have not given me any trouble at all, and they consistantly sound great for any style. <br /> <br /> <br /> woo Music Man!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">It&#039;s all about the necks for me.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Don&#039;t worry Pete, I don&#039;t have a MM yet either that I play. But I love the company&#039;s hip attitude that their players seem to have. I am trying desperately to bring that attitude to my store and town. The people here need a kick in the a$$! I have the bass I want all picked out too. I just need to make a few big sales and it will be ordered faster than you can say it. It&#039;ll be a SR4 in Black cherry burst with black p.guard....and I&#039;m blaming all you guys too!!</div>
