I am planning on putting a set of D'Addario XL's on my new SR5 and wondered if the 0.135 in this set will fit the nut as is?

Thanks.

Good Question, I'd suggest you take the .135 out of it's packet and place it in the b string nut slot and check before you tread it thru the bridge, cut it off and start bringing it to tension.

I tried a set Chrome XL's that had a B string that was 132 on my 25th but it wouldn't make it through the bridge primarily because of the material wrap around the string, plus the string itself that did go through was very tight. I picked up a set of EB flats that I'll put on.

I had the same problem with my EBMM FLATS Rick. I had to SHAVE a little off the silk on the BALL end of the B string

That's kind of weird to have to do, I'm going to put the flats on my Bongo real soon so I'll see if the same thing happens. I haven't used flats in years, actually decades. Yikes

I'm telling you. For the type of music my band plays (Beatles, Eagles, Hollies etc) flats on my SR5 are just perfect. Not to mention much easier on the 'ol fingers.
