Will a Vintage Floyd Rose fit on an Axis?

Anyone know if a vintage Floyd will be a drop in replacement of the Gotoh Floyd in an Axis? I have a minty fresh 80's Floyd with a matching 10" radius ready to go - will it sit on the body properly, etc?

Not sure, but the axis bridges are great! But its all personal preference, im sure AJ will chime in.

I don't think so. The gotoh Floyd has a beveled edge so as not dig into the finish since it is flush mounted.

Hey there,
I have fitted a Floyd Rose original onto an EVH in the past. You have to shim the neck but it fits and works fine. In fact, the gotoh bridge (musicman branded) has the same spacing. The only issue is where the Floyd is recessed (like on a Mk1 Luke) - then a tiny bit of wood needs to be removed with a router. Only about 1mm. Had to do this in the past.
