Dig into the body if I take off the locking nut and detune the guitar a couple of steps? I heard there was something that held the bridge in place so it doesn't do this, but I'd like a confirmation or picture if possible!

Thanks :D

The trem should already be set up to be resting against the body so any reduction in tension of the strings from detuning shouldnt cause it to dig into the body. But I might be wrong

I suppose anything could leave a mark. But if it did I believe there would be more threads on it or complaints.

Even if it does leave a mark, on Axis guitars the base plate of the Floyd is always (unless you are divebombing) in contact with the body so no one would see it....

If you're really concerned, I suggest you call or email MM customer service and get reassured by the right folks.
