Hi.
Hope some one can help me.
I bought a Music Man Sterling AX4. It's like the Axis Super Sport in appearance... But a fun guitar none-the-less. Well... That is until yesterday when I tried to install a SD JB on the Bridge and SD Jazz on the neck with split coil. The guitar came with low end pots and an Import 5-way.
I have now tried 4 different diagrams found on the Internet, including 2 on the SD site, and I just can't seem to make it work, like it did with the original PUs and innards.
My need is, I would think, quite simple.
Position 1: Neck HB
Position 2: Neck Split Coil (with the PU closest to the neck active)
Position 3: Neck and Bridge HB
Position 4: Bridge Split Coil (with PU closest to the bridge active)
Position 5: Bridge HB
I have also tried th SD wiring with a volume Push-Pull Spliting with the HBs and a 3-way and I fluncked that one as well
Admittedly I'm a Fender guy, specifically Telecaster, and have done many mods on them, but never a guitar where you work on the thing from the back side. (That could be taken the wrong way... But I've need soldering and resold wrong for the better part of 2 days and the fumes have gotten to me) But I've been very intrigued by the Axis series and this used AX4 was ridiculously cheap. So thought I'd give it a go before taking the big leap.
If some one has either of these wiring son their gueetar, the 5-way blade or the 3-way blade with push pull, any and all assistance would be truly welcomed.
All the very best
