From the angle you have your picture it looks like the same. I believe you need to desolder it from the circuit board and then resolder the new one to the circuit board.

The new one doesn't have the board on it just has 3 connections on both sides 3 per side up and down i think I put a pic there of the new one maybe on an answer thread

I would think you desolder the old switch from the board and then solder on the new one onto the board.

I guess what I'm asking is the old switch has six wires in line across the top of the switch and the new one from ernie ball has three lugs per side on each side so just wondering how to wire the new one

Did you contact EBMM Customer Service? Try reaching out to them, I personally don't have Luke, so I can't look at something for reference.

The general idea is to unsolder the pot from the board, use a desoldering tool to clean up the board, then re-mount the new pot. The pot has 3 lugs, the switch has 6 (2 x 3), and there's a ground lug from the housing.

If you want to fully replace the PCB with just the pot (which is also fine), then you'll need to refer to the wiring diagram to solder the wires you're mentioning directly to the pot (the ones that run to the preamp, etc.).

If you're comfortable with this, you can get a wiring diagram from MM- there are several revisions so you'll just want to make sure you get the right one (give them your serial # and ask). If you're not, I'd suggest taking it to a local tech to do the work.
