My white AL below has the push/pull tone pot. I am assuming that when pulled the 1st and 5th position is just single coil which sounds great to me. How can I wire my green AL so that the 2nd and 4th positions do the same thing? I have never liked that nasally tone with a strat in those positions. Even on a tele I prefer either front or back.....not both pickups together. Question is how difficult would it be to re-wire?

In order to do the change, you'll need to swap the current tone pot to a 500k push/pull or push/push pot. Then you'll just need to desolder some of the connections on the 5-way super switch to match your Guitar Center version Albert Lee. If you've never done it before, you may want to take it to an experienced tech to do. The 5-way super switch can look pretty daunting compared to a standard 5 way. I am currently looking into doing this with my new Axis Super Sport Semi-hollow.

Email customer service and they can send you the wiring diagram in case you need a guide.

I was wanting to keep everything stock and just have the 2nd and 4th position single coil. In other words....the second toggle position would be the neck pickup in single coil only, and the 4th position the bridge humbucker in single coil. Is this an easy option?

I believe the Guitar Center version wiring is what you are looking for.

The wiring will give allow you to split the humbuckers to single coil mode in position 1 & 5. The push/pull switch along with the standard AL HH wiring gives these pickup configuration.

Neck Humbucker
Top Coil = 1
Bottom Coil = 2

Bridge Humbucker
Top Coil = 3
Bottom Coil = 4

+ = series & = parallel

Standard (Push/pull pot in the down position)
1 = 1+2
2 = 1&4
3 = (1+2)&(3+4)
4 = 2&3
5 = 3+4

Push / pull pot in the UP position.
1 = 1 only
2 = 1&4
3 = 1+(2&4)
4 = 2&3
5 = 4 only

No, I think he want it like this:

1 = 1+2
2 = 1 (or 2, but only one)
3 = (1+2)&(3+4)
4 = 3 (or 4, but only one)
5 = 3+4

With a 4 pole lever switch, you can pretty much wire up whatever you want. That wouldn't be terribly hard to do.
