I've had good luck with Sennheiser too. The they have a new model that has RF muting at the transmitter so you can have multiple transmitters on mutiple guitars and still only use one receiver. I have the earlier model but it sounds very good. I had to back off the sensitivity on the transmitter a notch because it was hotter than using a cable.

I've heard people rave about the Line 6 ones. It's supposed to sound just like using a cable.

+1. I've been using it for about a year and a half and it is absolutely the closest you will get to a wired sound out of any wireless units I have owned. It's the first unit with an all digital signal so it NEVER drops or gets interference. I highly recommend it. It's great too because it fits right on your pedal board. It's bigger than a standard size pedal, but smaller than a digitech whammy pedal. it's reasonable priced too; about $400.00 i believe.

My bass player and I just both purchased the X2 XDS Plus Digital systems (Line 6 now) and could not be happier. I have done extensive A/B tests corded vs X2 Digital, thru effects and straight into the amp, and I have to tell you, if there is a difference, it is too slight to hear.

It is so nice to be move without tripping on a cord, leave the stage, etc. I can't imagine being happier or ever going back.

I have the Line 6 XDS95 system. We've had 3 of them going at once on stage and once you get the channels sync'd, you're good to go. It sounds just like the chord is plugged in. I used a generic 9V wall wart supply to run the receiver so I only have to worry about one battery for the unit plugged into the guitar.

Our band leader is a huge Line 6 fan and cued me in on this thing when they had a big price drop. I get the 10% GC coupon every month, so $200-$20+tax. No complaints.

when X2 first hit the market i posted some rave reviews of them here. i still feel the same way. they are VERY reliable, they sound awesome, they are idiot proof to set up properly with reguard to gain structure,(an area where all others fail) , and they are affordable.
very transparent.

I have an X2 pedal board mount system somewhere in the postal maze at the moment, will let you know thoughts once I get it. I read stacks of reviews that all sing the same tune as every reply prior to me.

I used to use a Sennheiser G2, but switched back to a cable because I have a need to use the piezo just about every set.

I've heard some really good things about the X2 system. I would go try some out before you buy one and see which one you like best. Go to a big store like GC and walk around the store and try to find a dead spot in the signal.

I've used the AKG guitar bug with good results.

I've been using an X2 for 2+ years now. Awesome tone and reliability. Chews up batteries like nobody's business, though. Worth every 9v I've killed, IMO.

i hope line six doesn't miss w/ the formula of this wonderful unit since they bought it from the initial owners X2Wireles.
