Actually I guess I should say wish the crowd luck. They don't know what they're getting into.

This Saturday night, since my StingRay 5 is on it's way back from SLO (was in the shop), I'll be playing my Bongo out live with my band Citizen (see sig) for the first time. Over time I have developed a level of comfort with my StingRay and have stuck to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. I practice and tinker with my Bongo all the time but tomorrow we learn just what this animal is capable of in a live setting.

I'll report back after the show with pictures and let you know how it went.

The show is a chili cook-off for a local humane society.... puppies, kitties, chili and full Bongo loaded modern rock brought to you by Citizen.

Gig details.

Alright kids, I know the rules... just having my gear listed in my sig proves absolutely nothing. "No pics, no bass" applies to gig spam too.

My girlfriend took some pictures Saturday night and I wanted to show off the Bongo in action. Observant EB forum users will notice two things in the following pictures. My MarkBass rig in the background AND some stank-face.

On a related note, I got my StingRay back today... no more "chirp" thanks to a new pre-amp installed by the fine folks are Ernie Ball.

Enjoy.

And what was the final diagnosis on your bass? I'd be interested in the specifics if you know them. I remember the thread where you were describing a high-pitched "chirping" sound when the treble pot was approaching and above center.

Did you receive any details as to what exactly was the problem?

They had issues recreating the chirp in the shop but after some discussion with support we decided to go ahead and replace the pre-amp.... bass returned on Wednesday with no trace of said chirping.

So happy to have my 5'er back.
