Okay, silly baseball pun, but my apartment just got a little louder with the Bongo 4H thunder. The Hammer of The Gods has arrived! :D

Preliminary pictorial proof of existence:

Better pics to follow as time and weather allow. For now, I'll leave you with these from DuBaldo Music Center.

I haven't even plugged it in yet, but man, it's so resonant, so loud acoustically. I can only imagine what it's going to sound like through my Mini CMD 121P. This is my first bass. I'm elated that it's here! :D Man, I can't believe how light it feels! :D

BP, Dudley, anyone else who had anything to do with creating the Bongo, thank you! To anyone at EBMM who had anything to do with putting together the 2007 LE package, thank you!

Thanks, guys! I can't seem to put this thing down! :D

I'm quietly (unamplified) trying to groove to Earth, Wind, and Fire's "September" bass line here in the wee hours of Saturday morning. It's quite a little undertaking, considering I've never really played bass--just made noises in the store. But, I've got a fairly good transcription of it so that I can follow along. Looking forward to learning how to really play this thing.

As you can see, Pete, it got here okay. Great doing business with you for my fourth Ball. :D Looking forward to the fifth. :D

Now that the rest of the world is awake, I've plugged it in. It's still a little early. So, I'll wait until later in the day to turn it up. It's just a monster waiting to be unleashed! :D Gotta get my nascent bass skills to catch up!

I like the simplicity and the growl that I'm getting out of the single H. Great stuff. I kind of just stumbled into the single H choice. Late in the game, after the order window had been long closed, I just asked Pete what he had coming in, and he said he had a 4H coming in. I thought, "Woohoo! Big Poppa Bongo style! I want it!" I just wanted any Blue Dawn Bongo 4 in any configuration, but when I heard it was the 4H, I was pretty excited. It was just a matter of checking to see if the finances would allow it. Happily, they did. :D

More pics to come.
