Very excited. Got, what I think, is a great deal!

I a thinking of changing the pickups or at least wiring it up so I canget a split sound in the middle.

Has anyone does this? What are some good pickups matches for the guitar?

Thanks,

Jason

Congrats man i bought a sub 1 about a month ago there such a nice guitar, and there great for modding, im getting new PU's in mine right now. it was routed out for 2 hummers but ony had one in it so im getting a seymour duncan put in the neck. depends what your into, i wanted something crunchy so i went seymour but i think for clean tones the stock PU is really nice anyway. have you thought about joining the SUB 1 owners club?

Wow...you stole that thing. Good win indeed! Mine's like that but with the aluminum pickguard. You'll be able to get a born-on date from the SN.

Nice score!

Personally I'd play it a while before I decided to swap anything out. Those p'ups are good, and you might just like them. If not you'll have an easier time describing what sound you want but can't get.

Good idea, beej.

If it were me and I liked the guitar but didn't much dig the pickups I would put some EMGs in that black beauty! But that's only because I've wanted an EB with EMGs in it forever and the all black subs are the perfect candidate IMO!

Very nice score... if you don't like it let me know! ;)

Wow. Great win! I was looking at them until I grabbed an ASS from craigslist a few days ago, but I didn't see this one come up. Another SUB went for $499 a few days ago.

I know where you can get one for that price shipped with a hardshell mm silo case.

I'm no electronics guy, but from what I understand the four wire pickups in the Sub can be wired up to split very easily. I'd be very interested in your results if you were to try it.

My JP's pups are split via a push/pull tone pot. They sound incredible!!
