Yes, string cleaner on the strings. The only other cleaner I use is Murphy Soft Wipes on the back of the neck and then I follow up with the polish. Never had a problem with anything else needing a cleaner.

One of the guys at Music Man told me to use the fretboard conditioner on the back of the neck. Is that a bad idea?

Not unless the back of the neck is painted. For oil finished, it's great.

I love da fretboard wipes for front and back. Don't use the others.

I use them all.

I don't really "clean" the guitar per se, just wipe away the oil/sweat and then polish away. I kinda use a 3-step system.

1. Wipe away the sweat/oil with a dry polish cloth
2. Wonder Wipes
3. Buff to shine

I use the fretboard conditioner on oil finished necks and rosewood necks. Use the same as above on painted necks.

String cleaner is cool, but I only really use it after shows when I get really sweaty.

Wait BK, so I should use my wonder wipes on my BFR Rosewood neck too? Not just the FB?

Oh yeah! Makes a HUGE difference :D Run one of those wipes over the back of your RW neck and let it dry for about 5 minutes without touching it. SMOOTH like a baby's butt!

I use the FB Conditioner for both the fb and the back of the neck. Works great. I use the Dunlop 65 polish for the body, but I'd like to try the Ernie Ball spray polish.
