Ohh I know!!!!!!

Trouble is I have spent a long time deciding what I wanted.
There were some great Honeyburst photos placed on the forum too!

I have a Black Les Paul and a Cherry (a la SG) Tele, so black cherry would be a nice way to go!!

When I bought my Les Paul back in 74 from Orange in London, I travelled 180 miles to get it
£285 in those days!!. Asked for a burst over the 'phone but when I got there it was the tobacco burst which I didn't like!! So I choose the black one instead - it felt a heavier guitar and it "sang out to me"!! Man that neck is made of iron!!! Falllen over chipped the neck but still in one piece.

Oh shoot I know you have been really good to me by sending a photo (I feel a heel now!!) but I am going with my initial thoughts - a black cherry. I can't wait any longer.
and I mean what I say - I have been waking up a lot these last couple of evenings getting excited about it - and I'm no kid ha!

Will post again tomorrow - who knows I may change my mind ha!
I'm off to bed now.

Either one. Great colors.

Neither of which are available on any of their other guitars except the axis.

I sent you a damn great photograph though. You'll see.

You going single coils or mm90's?

That was the second hurdle to get over. The first was tracking down an AL in the first place.
After deciding that was what I wanted the second hurdle loomed up on the horizon -- MM90's or C mores?
Well I already have a 3 pickup Les Paul and a fantastic guitar I had built for me 20 years ago which has a seymour stacked coil and a Bill Lawrence - both bladed pickups.
I didn't like that guitar for some time, but the courtship blosommed and it's the guitar I play all the time.
The old Les Paul doesn't get much of a look in any more but its done a lot of road miles with me and I just can't let it go!

So I shall be going for the Seymours.
None of my guitars have a trem - my first guitar a Watkins Rapier 44 had 4 pickups and a trem which I really liked, so I am going for one on my "Albert".

Another hurdle was placed in my way and that was the piezo option.
After hearing the piezo I had to have one too!

So gotta go and run some errands, then go down to the dealer and try to "round"the quote down a bit, and pay my deposit.

I've said it before and i'll say it again I feel really nervous about buying a guitar unseen but I know I can rely on the service that EB provides. I know that there was a lot of bandwidth given over to that guy who had a gripe with the lack of birdseye, but you know I'm kinda hoping that mine will have either a good birdseye or even a good flame. There was some good discussion on that but it got a bit hectic at the end!!!
Albert's gonna be with me for some time so I want "him" to look good as well as play well.
I guess that's in the lap of the gods.
I wish I had joinned this forum a long time ago and then maybe I could have made it to the open house this year - I'll have to get saving again and hope that another one takes place before I have to shell out for my son to go to Uni.

So, lets go get an "Ernie"

Oh and I will probably place that picture of your guitar in my mates (Dave Dearnaley Guitars) workshop and show what some of his clients are missing.
