Don't think I'd trade my Sterling for ANYTHING - and certainly not a Warwick.

BTW - loved the "neck like a brick" reference...

I owned a Warwick for a while and sold it to get another SR4. I had a thumb bass. Talk about neck dive. Ouch. Think twice. No. think three times.

I played a Corvette proline with active/passive switch for a while. I really liked the bass, sounded very good, but I had a problem playing it while standing up, it just didn't played as good than, so I sold it. I regret it, but on the other hand, it wouldn't have worked out live. I also prefer maple necks, it felt like the neck was a bit slow, not as comfortable as my stingray.
But hey, that's personal taste, it might work perfectly for you.

warwick finishes rocks

Sold a Warwick Streamer ProM to help get the 3rd Bongo... I liked the Warwick look and feel, but the even their Pro MEC Electronics couldn't compete with the Bongo's package.

I'mSouledOnMusicMan

I (c)wouldn't trade my MusicMan SR5s for a Sadowsky, and
I (c)wouldn't trade my BCRich for a Warwick

but I hope to own/play a Sadowsky 24/5,
After I own/play At Least one Bongo 5

the problem with the Bongo is the At Least part

so far it looks like Bongo #1 is an HP,
tnx to the great replies (incl BP) on another thread

I have a friend who plays a Warwick and a Modulus,
and he's more curious about my 'gals'
than I am about his

This has got to be one of the DOPIEST questions posted on an ERNIE BALL MUSICMAN forum.
I once saw this post on a RANDY RHOADS forum......"Who was Ozzy's best guitarist?"

I try very hard to be open-minded about certain questions. Replacing the stock pickups, for instance...Bongo versus Stingray 5.....boxers or briefs....Ginger or Mary Anne....

But here we are using bandwidth paid for by the Ernie Ball company, and the question is....what?

"Would you trade your MM for a Warwick?"

Well, no. Frankly, I wouldn't play a Warwick if you gave me one for free, but that is a personal issue. I think they're ugly, I think they are built like crap and they sound like unmitigated cow manure. So here's the thing. I wouldn't, given my opinion of these basses, ever ask on a Warwick forum, "Should I trade my Warwick for a (your favorite bass here)?"

I would expect all the Warwick fans to say what has been said here.

Except they'd be wrong, and I'd still be right. So although this has been at times mildly amusing, and at the risk of being considered heavy-handed, I herewith close this thread and wish you well.

Final word on the subject - don't do it.

Peace either way.

Jack
