So I posted and deleted a post last week stating I didn't like my new SUB4. At that time I was playing it direct in my recording studio. Well, we jammed this weekend with my road rig (SWR SM-400, AMPEG BSE-410HLF) I put some new ErnieBall Regulars on it and yeah this thing rocks. I am quite humbled. It just fit right into our sound, and the rest of the band were very impressed.

So another Musicman convert is among you.

Anyone want to buy a Fernandes five string :D

Cool Lomky!
As for the Fernandes, maybe some slack jawwed yokel from Nisku or Millet OR, heaven forbid, even Leduc might buy it :p :p :p :D :D :D

;)

haha, yeah this is what I'm thinking. It's actually not a bad bass, I've played it for many years and it has not let me down. And plus it is a really beautiful see thru purple stain. I'm not trying to sell anyone here on it though :)

I have my four string Ibanez as a backup, and I'm really kinda tired of playing the five string.

I did find that the super slinkeys that came w/ the SUB were a little too floppy when drop D tuning. The regulars feel and sound much better for me.

Now I need to find a clear pickguard so I can have purty pictured on my bass!

Haha. I had 2 Fernandes of my own and they weren't my thing. Although, I do know someone who's absolutely nuts about these basses. PM me a price including shipping and everything i'll ask him if you'd like. :)

Oh yeah. Congrats on the SUB4. Awesome basses they are.

I tell you, I played a SUB last month (it's bottomdweller's) that made me salivate.

I can understand when certain basses don't float everyone's boat, but MAN, I was absolutely floored by that SUB.

I even had a SUB fund to buy my own, but then I was distracted by a sparkly thing on eBay.

The other day I played with a SUB 5 fretless that sounded incredible. I was sooo close but couldn't pull the trigger (I'm struggling with 4 strings and frets, so why a 5 string fretless?). Someone else did soon enough though.

Zammit. Shoulda traded for it. That thing was fun!

I'd really like to get one of the passive SUB's for something a little different.....

I was fooling around with a passive fretless Sub on the weekend and was impressed with the sound. The price was pretty good as well.
