I really miss mine. I would trade my Black Luke II for a Luke I but dunno if there are any takers.

Kimono, what do you miss on LUKE 1 that you can't find on LUKE II.. please share, i am thinking to sell my luke I at the moment.. but i am afraid that i'll do a big mistake..

thanks

It's mostly nostalgic for me. It was my favorite guitar and I used it to record a lot of fun projects back in 1997. I sold it in order to buy my first house. Some might not like the Floyd, but I like it. Other than that... just nostalgia.

For me it's not really about how much a guitar is worth per se, it's more about if I will play it or not. I got a lot of playing time on the Luke 1.

My band mate was bidding on this one but even with high Euros he had to give up

But I somehow understand paying such amount of money, if it's your dream guitar, maybe in 20 years from now this guitar will worth 10 000$

we will never know

I regret selling my mint 1997 Red Pearl one for £900 earlier this year - even more so when I turned down an offer for $4000 a year and half before...

Yes I know, I was nuts for not selling - especially as I much prefer the Luke 2 [early recessed plate] one I have now that I bought for £800 a couple of months back.

It's wrong to only have one ball. Even more so after owning five. But how easy is it to find recessed plate Luke 2's and Axis Super Sports I ask...

I'm beginning to feel quite priveliged owning both a Luke I, and a recessed plate Luke II. :D For the record I will never sell either of them. They are both awsome!
