Long time fellas and i miss you all.....I was shocked recently looking at guitars. i havent bought for several years but in the past i have bought many axis guitars and let go of some real dreams.....i was shocked this weekend looking on ebay on how much the prices on used guitars has gone up. i couldnt believe it but then again its been a few years since i looked. i bought my first trans amber used for 750 and now you cant get the sterlings for that.....since i have been out of the buying game for awhile did something happen that drove used guitar prices up so much?

For the most part, I've seen a lot of used prices go up, but even new guitar prices from all manufacturers.

But there are some great deals out there. GC has an axis in Amber for $899. I bought my first used axis for $750!!!

New prices have gone up, nature of business, my company sells some old legacy products for 10,000x what the original price was.

Used is different, used prices are down and it is a buyers market still, Ebay is not a great used pricing tool any longer, too many new products listed and used are jacked up to cover Ebay outrageous fees.

Used guitars priced at there normal value are generally ignored until the price drops to way too low.

I had a brand new EGS PDN Luke II listed at basically 40% off and no one bought finally said f' it and put it back in my rotation!

There are deals to be had. I bought my Mint Reflex (2011) a few weeks ago from GC for 799.

I think trends are on the up. I don't track many things but I have noticed that MM amps are increasing in value too. Always been more expesive on this side of the pond, but it has been observed on the amp forum that the amp prices have risen a lot.
