..wtb silhouette or axis neck (just wanting)..

..hi..

..i know that ebmm necks are not sold alone..
..but i am thinking of building my own sort of lets say frankenstein guitar to experiment with pickups and so on..
..i have found olp necks and necks of diverse other manufacturers but being a proud owner of two ebmms i of course want the best neck there is on my upcoming monster..
..can you give me a hint if there are no ebmm necks to purchase then if there is something that comes near (thats blasphemy i know)..
..also is it possible to have a floyd rose with schaller locking tuners without the usual fr locking mechanisms..(i like the solution on the jp very much)..?

If you can get an OLP neck then that would be a good start.
You would need to do some work on the frets, as the OLP I played had some rough edges to the them.
Also you could mask up the neck just behind the nut and take the finish off - treating it to a gunstock oil and wax finish.

EB necks do sometimes crop up on da bay but they are few and far between.

USA Custom guitars will make a neck with an Axis like profile. I dunno if they ship oversees or how much that would cost but they make decent stuff.

You dont get the 4+2 headstock or anything... just the back contour
