Just came across this on the Bay, and found it extremely entertaining. Especially the dudes' description of the guitar and how he talks about the Chinese culture. What in the hell does Chinese culture have to do with copying a different company;s guitar (ummm, LOL)??? And where the HELL did he get that beautiful top   from???lol I think he ripped it straight from his freakin sundeck or floor lol.

P.S. Just thought it would be a little entertaining, since it has been REALLY quiet around here for the past couple of days. Dont know what's up, but I for sure am excited about gettin me Luke (Pete, where is it damn it :p :D ).

OLP's are made in China?
- is this an "official" OLP or a rip off?

I don,t know what it is, but since my birthday the other week I started "pottering" around in the garden - Scary !!!

For £4.99 it would make a nice garden feature! :D

Yea, I have no prblem with OLPs, but I dont think this is an ACTUAL OLP tho. It looks like he made that thing HIMSELF, because I've never seen them look like that and with a "porch" top like that. I've seen some of his other auctions in the past of other guitar brands that he has ripped off of. I dont know how he got all that OLP marks on there and the back plate. I might be wrong, but it does not like peachy to me.

I'll take 20+ years of San Luis Obispo craftsmanship over 5,000 years of Chinese craftsmanship any day of the week, thank you.

That is one horrible guitar.

I don't think it is an OLP, the body clearly isn't an olp and the shape of the headstock is also very weird:confused:

What you mean you don't want a laudible electricity guitar gift from you friend in beijing who will bestow much goodwill on your family! All for 1 English pound and 200 shipping!

I used to spend a lot of time trawling through the I***** guitars on eVilbay - now it is mostly £0.99 honourable guitar - I can't take it anymore! Those guys at I#'*&* must really be having problems!

Oh and yes my Axis is still great thanks!:D

Do they make quilted Pergo tops too? :p

All of those ripoff guitars appear to be made by somebody with a lack of depth perception. Either that, or they are cut out with chainsaws, because their shapes are always semi-weird.

As a consumer alert, here's a helpful page on some of the fakes: :)
