I bit the bullet and bought the Xvive wireless system for a wee treat.
Works great on every guitar I own except my EBMM Cutlass.
Positions 1,3 & 5 have a high pitched whine.
Utube has a few folk mentioning the same thing with their active EMG's.
However it's not a deal breaker for me apart from the Cutlass the Xvive works perfectly.
To be fair to the makers of the Xvive U2 do say in their bumf it doesn't like active pickup systems and it looks like the silent circuit falls into that category.
If you're contemplating buying the Xvive just be aware that if you own a Cutlass or have another EBMM with a silent circuit it may have the same problem and you will have to use a lead.
There may be a workaround using an inline extension lead from the guitar jack to a female 1/4 jack socket and attaching it to the guitar strap so that it's away from the guitar body.Waiting on parts to try it out.I'll keep you posted on the results.
The whine can be heard on this U Tube video around 3.10
