I played the original Morse, though I like the neck, I feel it's too heavy for me. How's about the Y2D? Is it lighter than the Morse?
(I just saw one very beautiful Y2D and GAS start hitting me.)

The Y2D feels lighter to me, but I don't consider the original Morse to be a heavy guitar at all. If you get either with a Floyd then it's a different story.

Yo Poj, Y2D's weight no issue for me. Its not heavy IMO. But take note of the none carved top where your right arm rest. Some find it a problem for them. anyway, if you like the blueburst morse, I think the Y2D is for you too! :D

Compared to the AL the Morse is PRS Singlecut heavy! I did find my Y2D way too heavy for me, the AL's are mostly featherweight. Like me.

edit- if you are unsure, then try really hard to play one first, if not then be prepared. BFR AL awaits too.....

(Poj, don't buy it, don't buy it, you have BFR AL waiting for you in the end of this year.)

This is the pict of the Y2D I'm talking about.

Fine axe there poj! Guess what? I was looking at this piece a couple of month back! (cant recall which online store again...)Was thinking of selling away my standard flame Y2D and go for this premium top. But decided to keep mine and save up for...a BFR AL? Haha you are in a real situation now dude...:D

First off ... let me say that the Morse and Y2D are both KILLER guitars. Try as I might, I can't seem to play a gig without taking one of them. (But I'm biased ... my Morse is still my fave guitar, hands-down and the Y2D is in spot #2 ...)

Mine are both hardtails and the Y2D is a tad heavier. Probably just luck of the draw with respect to the wood. As has been said, every piece of wood is different.

My Morse is the lightest guitar I own.
Most Strat/Tele/Les Paul style git are heavier, so I can´t find it really heavy

I mean when we compare the morse with other model of EBMM. When I first played my Luke, It's so light, neck is amazing and so comfortable to play. Morse is heavier in my feeling which make me hesitate to buy it. (Don't even talk about the Les Paul, I'll never buy one.)

For the record, my sub is quite a bit heavier than my silo, so I guess poplar is just a heavier wood? I think you should get it anyway man, that's a sweet axe.

No , It's still in warehouse somewhere, waiting to ship along with many other things. I hope to get it within 6 weeks. IT's ok, I'm still happy with my 20th Silo. :)
