when i looks at it

I just love the prototype, i wonder what did they do with those guitars ?

did they sold them out ? or they stayed in EBMM museum ?

cause there is many pictures from different gigs so i assumed that its not one guitar .........

the overall colors looks a bit darker and somehow shinning , i dont know i just love those creamy pups, and its matching the headstock perfectly

i would love to buy one of those if its existing somewhere

Oh boy, do I have a problem.

So, here's how dumb I am.

I got the chance to play a Y2D earlier today at the local guitar store. It was in that De-Purple finish that is kind of amazing in person. I attempted to play it upside down, and thoroughly enjoyed the neck, and the finish... and holy ****. Are those pickups at all available to buy by themselves? They blew the ass out of my pants!

What kind of pickups are they? I read "custom wound" however did not really read too in-depth. I blame that on the ridiculous hour it is; and general laziness. Also, any chance of us seeing one of them showing up left handed? Hahaha. I'm such a persistant jerk. It certainly would tide me over until a) my Luke came in and b) until 2025 when they release a lefty JP6. I actually think the De-Purple Y2D is more accessible and versatile than the JP6 would be. So, who needs to be bribed?!

I think it looks pretty nice with the cream pickups too. The purple one's were a turn off for me. However, I guess if you're Mr. Morse, you get the pickups you prefer. If you're me, you can just bitch that they're not the color I prefer. ;) I'll have to get me an endorsement deal. I've got some work to do first though.

Hmm... now where did I put that guitar for dummies book?

From memory EBMM couldn't source the purple ones at that time. If you do a search of the forums it will be there somewhere. It was great watching the Y2d go through it's various stages of creation. If I can get the cream ones from Dimarzio, my next Y2d will have them ;)

Because it's just a pipe-dream.... it will never happen. :(

i didnt understand you , what will never happend ??? what dreams ???

i actually asked 2 simple questions - if they still have those protos , and if they are for sale ???

and i got an answer for the first question - yes they have them !

so whats the dream ??? if they are for sale its a dream ??? why ??? because they have cream pups ????

you know Martin Luther said :" i have a dream " .......

John Lennon wrote :" Imagine all the people Living life in peace" .......

well i understand , those are dreams - but what are we talking here ? selling a guitar ? pups color ? etc'.......

Shimi, don't hold your breath if you're waiting for a prototype to be sold to you. Why would you want a prototype over the production model anyway? Steve is happy with the production model and I think you will be too;)
