Could be from 1979. Check out Gavs wonderful site:

Serial numbers are not chronological. Best way is to remove the neck and check for dates on the neck heel and neck pocket on the body.
If you’re uncomfortable with taking apart the neck, cause the shim stuff Checking if it has a type b4 or a type b5 preamp could indicate it was made after 79 or 80.
Also on the preamp types of capacitors will do it too, if they’re grey or black tower cylinders it’s gonna be an 82,83 or 84 if it’s red and blue blobs it’s gonna be a 79,80,81 or early 82
