Has anyone compared the JP neck to a standard Ibanez Wizard neck? I'm curious how similar they are.

The old IBZ siggy didn't even compare...he had an Ultra neck shape on that one...it's thicker than a wizard....if you're looking for a wizard neck, then you're in the wrong place...the ony way you're going to figure out if the JP neck is for ou'll need to you is not to ask someone else...you'll need to PLAY one to see if you dig it.

I've played them on a couple of different occasions I just don't really remember anything other than the neck was wide like a wizard. The one thing that did stand out last time I compared one to my Axis is that I remember thinking that the tone of my Axis was better. I'd like to buy a JP because I want a guitar with a trem that I can pull up on.

Truthfully, the MMJP neck smokes the Ibanez Wizard neck hard. I have owned and loved my RG770 for close to 15 years. I mean, I loved the feel of that guitar so much that I din't think I would ever find something that I liked as much, let alone more. Not to long after I got my EBMMJP, I did a side by side comparison, and the Ibanez hasn't left it's case since. And keep in mind that my guitars are always set up tits! So, my Ibanez was at it's best. It just couldn't hang.

Agreed - I've barely touched my Ibanez JPM after getting the EB - the neck is seriously that much better.
