My admiration for the genius that is Lucious made me wonder...what is everyone's favorite solo by the man?

It seems like an impossible task to pick one given the amount of playing he's done over the past 30 years between session work, solo, and of course Toto.

I was listening to the "Luke" cd tonight for the thousandth time, and it has some of Luke's most soulful playing! "Always Be There For Me" is a great track from that disc!

His playing on the Jeff Porcaro tribute disc is equally as tasty! The choices seem endless....what do you think guys and gals?

My favorite Luke records:

Turn Back
Kingdom of Desire
Candyman

But, to get back on topic...my favorite solo? Which is Hugh Hefner's favorite girl? That's a tough one!

For my money, has to be Never Walk Alone from Candyman, or Tears of My Own Shame from Luke. They both just smoke, but feel really melodic. Not to say the rest don't, I just like those better ;)

Many favs from the Luke. "I wont hold you back" is not the most note intensive, but i find myself whistling it often. To me that means he has suceeded creating a solo the listener can remember.

On the other hand, I have a Doves of Fire DVD boot that will blow your mind from a pure technical level. Many their that I dig...
