You never know where you'll see a Stingray preamp

Over at another bass forum, in Australia, an orphaned EBMM 2 band preamp that Gav had hoarded has ended up in a booticky bass build by local luthier Phil Mailloux. Actually, Phil is from Montreal, but he's called Australia home for many years. He built this for one of the forum guys, and the Stingray preamp added the perfect finishing touch.

The body shape looks a lot like Moby's profile to me.

I wonder how well the preamp works in a six-string context, considering it wasn't designed for that purpose.
