Oh, for heaven's sakes. People need to stop looking for ways to bash Fender.

For years, people have been complaining about how thick the finishes are. They are "plasticky". They don't "breathe." They don't "mojo" fast enough. They aren't like the old nitro finishes.

Fender gives the people what they want, a thinner finish, and now they're complaining about something else.

Well, that's 15 minutes I won't get back, but it was an interesting exercise in WTF was going on.

I guess.

People need to stop looking for ways to bash Fender.

If there is any unwarranted bashing, I'll first go get my Jazz bass out, then I'll fix the thread. Okay?

enjoy your EBMM's and stop hating everything else

You won't find many people here who hate "everything else".

Now we ARE enthusiastic about our favorite, but I try to be vigilant when it comes to needless "hating" on other brands.

Carry on.

I know it's rotten, but I always get a kick out of it when the Fender-defenders get all riled up here on the EBMM forum.

It does make me chuckle sometimes. Though i think asking for a refund on such a small imperfection is taking it a little too far. If you'd just noticed it after a couple of days then yeah, but honestly i don't think you'll get anything back because it's been so long. Just enjoy your basses, be they fender or EBMM :) just my 0.02

I shouldn't have made that comment about "fender defenders", but my point about that really doesn't have directly to do with Fender. It has more to do with folks who, while *not* being moderators here, feel the need to moderate others' comments, and that happens alot when Fender comes up. But then again, I guess I'm just doing the same thing by criticizing them for it, so in the future I'll skip the hypocrasy & just keep quiet about it when that happens.

I love fender basses....I grew up on them

I bet you love them, Sir! You still build one of them, nicely refined, moderately modernized, upped to quality standards that cannot be found in other production basses.

Thanks to Leo Fender for bringing the StingRay to life.
Thanks to Sterling Ball for making it the best Fender bass in the world!
