hi forumites,

i'm not a big youtuber but i thought i should share this short video with you guys.

yesterday evening we recorded the last few guitarparts for our CD....now we're getting close to have everything finished...."only" the vocals have to be done....

for an unisono part of the power-ballade "dead and alive" i used the rosewood neck Y2D and my buddy used my DDII JP6.....

enjoy!

btw. feel free to post comments :)

Very cool Joe. I always enjoy behind the scenes stuff, especially when you start to hear the layering like in your first vid.
Keep us posted on the new CD release!

mtrejo:
yes i will, when the CD is ready i'll let you guys know.

just think about a little "Video-Studio-Tour"....for more "behind the scenes" ;)

kestrou:
the morse headstock was a protection reaction, because the handy-cam was to close for my taste ;)

yup. but we don't do that much gigs. it's become more a "just for fun" band - but at a high level.
Morbid Sky is my baby! such great musicans and a lot of cool ideas.

Ive checked out some of your live stuff with morbid sky and it was cool! What amps do you use live, the dc5 or a 5150? Any effects?

thanks mate!

now i use the roadster for MS, because its sound is a bit more "heavy", the DC5 was a bit too smooth for this kind of music for my taste.
but i although used the 11 Rack live with MS. tried to capture my roadster sound with it and came very very close to it.
so for a short show, where everything as to be setup quick, i use the 11R. ( sorry no video with the 11R)

but you alhough can hear a mesa rectoverb (the older 50 watt head) on "mindsucker live at killer metal night"

i was searching for an alternative for my roadster ( which i used with RW), and tried a lot of different amps.
there was a Yerasov Bulldozer (dual recto copy), evh 5150III mini, 6505+, 6534, jcm800 2205, and so on.... in the end i switched the amps in the setups.
now the DC5 is used with RW and the Roadster is in the MS setup.
