i´m with you on that! a blue quilttop EVH is a guitar i always wanted and still want, but they got so expensive lately.

Really ? - haven't been keeping track, but it's good news.
This one's been out of the case for all of 30-40 mins since new.

I remember seeing one of these in a music shop in Kingston, Surrey when the EVH first came out. I wish I had bough it!

Damn Brett it looks like it was just built-Gold top and you have each color! Sure as hell not easy to complete when you only have 26 out there though. I do know one of the forum members here from the U.K. has one. I have no doubt you will eventually snag one as you are the EVH Guru lol.

19 years old. My first real guitar.

Here is the story:
It was 1993. At that time i played guitar for 1,5 year. I was getting more and more into Van Halen, totally hypnotized by his playing on F.U.C.K. I dicided to get the same guitar Eddie uses. Had to save a (long) time. The guy at the guitarstore made a appointment with the MM distibutor in the Netherlands. They had 2. One was Purple and the other natural. The Natural had a dirty fretboard (real dirty). It had been played............by EVH himself!!!!!!!!!
But since purple is my favourite colour and i had know idea how to get a fretboard clean i took the purple one.
Back at the guitarstore a quick setup and played the guitar for the first time. Everybody was blown away by the sound and feel of the guitar.

Nice Story, you made the right choice, if the other one had Documentation that Eddie had it, it would be worth quite a bit today, if there wasn't it would just be a Eddie with a dirty fingerboard.
