Question Just One Bass

Hey everyone,

I used to have a few EBMM Basses over the years (4 HSS 25th anniversary, Big Al 4 SSS, Bongo 6 HH). I have become obsessed with Modular Synthesizers (FUN) but am missing having a nice bass around (I have a cheapie).

I am thinking that I can spend $1600 or so. I probably will go used to get the most bang for my buck.

Right now, I am considering another 4 HSS 25th anniversary with rosewood fretboard or Big Al 4 SSS with a rosewood neck. I want a bass that can cop a lot of different tones, has some major growl. Mostly going to be using in my house/home studio. I am certain I will gig again but it won't be a cover band situation where I need certain types of tones. I wish Game Changers had more color options.

Are there any other EBMM Basses that I should be considering?

You can't go wrong with a Bongo. By far the most versatile basses I have ever owned.

JayDawg - Bongos...I have a love/hate relationship with them. I think I would Love the 2 you have though, NICE!

Well, I ended up going with the 25th Anniversary 4 HSS....I couldn't resist! It is SO sexy and I know they have growl for days plus other nice tones.

I just paid for it, can't wait for it to get here!
