#X02273 - This S.U.B. 2EQ was completed on July 15th, 2003. The color is Textured Black with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to RMLA.

This serial number appears to be from a pre Ernie Ball StingRay. Unfortunately the serial number database didn't come around until after Ernie Ball took over so we don't have production records on those. There is usually a date stamp in the neck pocket or pickup cavity that will give you an idea of the production time. There is also a great reference website for pre Ernie Ball basses, http://musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0052.htm.
