Sterling Cutlass sale?

Does anyone know why the Sterling Cutlasses are being sold at such a deep discount in compared to the rest of the line? Are all new models/colors being introduced at Namm? Are they being discontinued?

Where are you seeing them discounted? I did a quick check at several retailers and they are at $349 which is consistent with other Sterling models ?

Until a few weeks ago, they were $499 (msrp $714). Its a 30% discount. I'm not complaining, just wondering the reason for the overall drop.

In many countries street price 30% below msrp is actually normal. Not a price drop, just par for the course.

Yes, but the 30% drop is below the typical markdown from msrp. Across the inter webs they have been marked down significantly, just wondering why. I assume that it is because of a NAMM announcement.

Regardless, this is a great deal.

We did a limited special Black Friday deal on one color each of the StingRay Guitar and Cutlass, and it was a tremendous success.

Sooooooo....

We decided to have an aggressive Holiday special for all U.S.A. retailers through 1/1/17, and have allowed all colors of both Cutlass and StingRay Guitar to be offered at $349 M.A.P., after learning that some of our 'competition' would be running an aggressive sale.

We'd much rather have them playing OUR guitars and not theirs !
