Any idea what the scale lengths are of the two necks? Is it just 25.5" on top, 24.75" on bottom? I looks like a slightly larger offset than that, but certainly not enough for the top neck to be Silo Bass Guitar scale length, and standard Y2D on bottom. Cool guitar, in any case.

Also, Kevin, I used to think you had one (at least) of everything Morse... :p (Now, I wouldn't be shocked if you said you had one of those stashed away somewhere!)

The Morse y2d has a standard MusicMan scale length of 25.5"

The upper neck has 24 frets and I wouldn't be surprised if it were a JP6 (25.5") or a JP baritone (27.75").

Thanks Pete! The upper and lower neck are definitely different scale lengths. The 27.75" makes sense, and Kevin seems able to confirm. The only baritone/bass scale length EBMM I'd ever seen was the Silo Bass, so I wasn't aware of anything that length.

Very cool guitar!

Bonamassa sold it recently. I remember seeing it on youtube, some big well-known vintage and collectable guitar store that I can't remember the name of did a video with JB as he was selling a few guitars that no longer got any use that he wanted to find a good home.

Thanks!

I just talked to Mark at Norman's - he said they still have it in the building, but a guy has a deposit on it - and it's a regular customer of theirs, so not likely that deal will fall through... :(

darn, Darn, DARN!!!

Asked him to pass my contact info to the guy buying it, promising him at least a dollar and a half profit - and I'm not telling the IRS if he's not. :)

Timing... guitar acquisition is all about the timing... and I've missed this one... for now at least...

Hey, I'm 51yo - maybe the guy buying it is older than me and I'll outlive him - gotta have hope, right?! :)

Texas Finally!
Nice memory, I posted this a couple years ago. It is from Joe's Tour De Force in England. Love this version. The keyboard player really goes off. Google it to find it on You Tube.

The original version is on Joes CD, " Driving Towards Daylight" its pretty good too. Always loved that double neck! Seems the only EBMM I have seen Joe pull out lately is a Dark Lord, not a bad guitar to pull out:)

FYI; I have seen a lot of Joe live over the last couple years including December 7th in Memphis as the most recent.

Holy crap! Kevin, I'm picturing you nearly having a heart attack after what was an idle, throw away post on my part! I hope you get it buddy!

Oh well - not your fault - and sorry I (may have) missed it - but I'm still working it...

I know where it's at now - just have to throw enough money at it. :)

Oh man, Kevin, you gotta get that guitar! I mean, I suppose it's only tangentially related to Morse, but, what a collectible!

I am a Bonamassa fan too - have several siggy model guitars signed by him:
Les Paul flame top siggy Bonaburst
Les Paul siggy gold top
JoBo siggy ES-335
Recreation (which I did, complete with replicating all stickers) of his "Goldie" Stratocaster
Alvarez Yairi all Koa acoustic (which joe used a lot several years ago on his acoustic tunes)

Have met him several times and talked guitars at length - even chatted a little about his double neck Morse, but that was years ago when he wasn't considering unloading it...

We need a "mournful sigh" smiley on this forum... :(
