G'day Pops. Welcome to the party! I reckon you'll love the Cutlass. I use mine a lot on stage and in the studio and it's hard to beat for those classic single coil tones and playability.

The U2 is an inexpensive and simple solution to wireless needs but it's no Shure system. While it adds minimum colour to your tone, it does 'clean' things up a lot, which is good if you're running a traditional guitar with no silent system or buffer such as the Cutlass has. So the combo tends to be very bright. This just means you might find you have to cut a little top end at the amp end, that's all. Other than that, though, it's all pretty good.

Be aware that the U2 has just the four channels and despite my 95% success rate with it even on huge concert stages, it can be susceptible to the occasional drop-out, as can many of its far more expensive competitors.

I was just a bit apprehensive about buying the Evive in case the silent circuit would give the it the heebie jeebies in some way.
As for the Cutlass it's dogs bollocks and will be my main squeeze for the forseeable future.

I've recently taken possession of this amazing instrument. I'm no shredder to speak of so I'm using it to expand my creativity in other ways - and it never stops giving. Here's a little jam showing off some of its more subtle tones. It's a long one... sorry!

I once had the opportunity to sit down with the six string version of that guitar. It was by far, one of the nicest instruments I've ever played. The variety of tones was amazing! Another fine video, Burgs.

Axis does EVH... for a change!

Fractal Audio are in the late beta stages of dropping some important new firmware. Here I've used it and my Axis to dial up a tone reminiscent of one Mr EVH.

JP15-7 does the groovy thang - clean, dirt, some piezo.

We've been down this path before, but not to a proper tune if memory recalls. I absolutely adore this guitar; it's a guilty pleasure playing it.
