Hi, any info for mine?
JP6 PRB with Piezo SN/: G46615
Thanks in advance...
I double checked and it's coming up as black in the database. It could be possible that it was a mistake in our database or that it was refinished.
Sorry if I'm being borring Joel
Just curious, is there a way to know if, for example, someone broke the body, then replaced with some other and screw back plate with serial number ? Any marks inside or something ?
Thx !

No worries, these are difficult to figure out. We only offer replacement bodies through the factory when one is damaged, but we require the original to be returned before we can start building the replacement and we can only build a replacement that is the same as the original (color, woods, model) so it's not likely that a replacement was offered through the factory. It could be possible that it was traded with another customer who had a black one and wanted a white one outside of the factory. It could be possible that it was refinished (may be worth checking the control cavity, tremolo cavity, neck pocket for remnants of the original color - some luthiers do a great job though and it may not be noticeable that it was refinished). It could be possible that a mistake was made when entering it into the database. Sorry we don't have more information for you.
