The overall construction seems pretty solid, especially for a guitar with a street price of $399. The hardware seems comparable to what is on the CT50 and SR50 models, and like the rest of the guitars at this price point you can't expect a museum-grade finish due to minor production irregularities in buffing, sanding, etc. The Jatoba fretboard looks very much like a lighter rosewood and my first impression was that feels somewhere between rosewood and pau ferro. The frets on this shipment are noticeably smoother than what we saw across the line last year, and while the rear profile of the neck is not quite like the USA Albert Lee, it is chunky in a comfortable way.

How is everyone today? Any info on these humbuckers? Are they F-spaced? Are they PAF clones?

Thanks!

Yes, the bridge is F-spaced!

Much like EBMM, SBMM doesn't release the specs for their custom-wound pickups. They do sound well-balanced and lively in the bridge, middle, and neck positions. The split positions have a bit less output than I was expecting, but are still usable. It would be very easy to drop in a set of DiMarzio PAFs (or similar) if that's a feature you are looking for.

What do you think of them compared to the real thing?

Oddly enough I haven't paid much attention to how the pickups in the USA model sound

This one accidentally came through with some decent flame!

Open the door UPS package falls on the floor!

Open it up and the guitar survived the UPS test and Plays, sounds and looks great, love the single coil sounds in 2 &4 position and rips on Humbucker setting with great harmonics.

Thanks:

I think I need the Albert Lee now. Since I already have a Valentine and Cutlass, the Albert Lee would make a trifecta! Might have to sell my Godin
