I have always been quite taken by Heinz. Especially since the rosewood. I think that color should come back if any do. Sure makes the wood show nice.

IMHO

I love you guys. But what a weird bunch.

Listen, I LOVE Heinz. That bass and I have been identified together for far too long for me to ever think of Heinz NOT being my bass.

But I was talking to BP and Dargin on the phone a while back and the subject of Heinz came up.

BP: "Heinz! Scotty, that was the ugliest finish we ever did, wasn't it?"

All you can do is laugh. And BP did and so did Scotty - and so did I.

Oh, there were more than a few.....but you don't seem a lot of them. I wouldn't dare to call it 'rare' just yet.

"Odd", maybe, but not "rare".

Betchya $100 right now that if BP were to bring that color back nobody would want it.

Same principle applies to the Lefty's over in my Southpaw's Attic all crying about lack of left handed Laklands...they all piss and moan about no lefty Skylines then when Dan said he'd do them nobody was around to cough up the dough.

I would go trans green on an SR5 in a heart beat Steve.

Same way for a White Bongo.

I think Steve's right, only he really means "about 3 people on earth would actually dole out the cash for one".

Because if they had sold, they'd still be with us.

I'm sure a couple of you guys would buy one, but that would be about it, I imagine.

Does that Trans-Green photograph different than the actual color, or is it pretty accurate?

It's hard to photograph correctly. To me, the best shot of the actual color is this one:

That's a nice shade! I'd get mine with a Rosewood fretboard (for warmth), throw a custom matte black pickguard on it...then call it a day!

I would do unspeakable things for a H/S Stingray 5 Trans Green w/ matching headstock.
