I was thinking this morning, that's one of the best promo pictures I've seen in a long time. Would love to see that one on the EBMM Albert Lee page. Just a thought.

Can't tell from this picture though. Then it would be one of the 3 Big Poppa AL HHH's then.

Yep, I think that was exactly the story. I may remember Big Poppa saying, he gave one to Joe.

I saw Joe back in 2010 with this guitar

Joe played a (coral?) red one with a full Rosewood neck, a blade switch and plastic knobs, whereas we see Big Poppa with two HHH ALs (blue and kinda orange) which have a smaller (3-way?) switch and dome speed knobs. The blue one has a maple neck with rosewood fretboard. The orange one has a full rosewood neck, as Joe´s has

Oh trust me I remember the Big Poppa AL, that blue is on my mind every day. I remember BP saying they were having a hard time finding a reliable blade switch, I believe. Too bad this never got made. May use he GC software to handle the switching like the Reflex and this could be a big hit I'd think, well around here anyway.

I also lusted after these when those pics appeared.
I still wish they would offer an AL with the St V triple mini buckers and custom switching...
I'd be all over that!
... guess I'll have to make one myself someday... ;)

On the picture where BP plays the orange AL HHH... I can see a mapple neck red one with 3 pickups as well, hanging on the wall. Anyone knows about this ?

Good eyes!!! Nope if I had to guess they were toying with the 3 combinations to see which had the best tonal sound for that model of guitar.

I tell you though, if they dropped the blue one, BFR logo and all I'd be call Pete ASAP!!!

They just CAN'T please all of us : I'm not crazy about the BFR logo...

Sadly I can't see an AL BFR produced soon as the last "orange sparkle" doesn't seem to sell that well : there are still plenty offered on Reverb and we haven't seen any around here...

(Warned you about orange and inlays guys ;) So read my lips this time : KOA SSS, trem, SS frets, roasted neck)

Yah I know about the BFR logo I wasn't crazy about it at first. But that would be a nice upcharge kind of thing, it won't happen, but one can hope.

I've noticed it too and I'm thinking that it's more the price than the color option and stuff. The used market is really great right now from what I've seen and for the price of a new one you can get (maybe) 2.

My problem is, with all due respect to MM, that I really don't like it!
I wouldn't buy it for $1500 (average used market price)
...and I'm sad when I see all those fabulous finishes on other models!
Yet, I'm so happy with mine and can't complain. I just wish I had bought a Neptune Blue HH as well! It was such a great package.

Personally, I love the BFR orange sparkle finish. The block inlays, bound neck, and especially the price are deal breakers for me.

Someone posted a pic in the EBMM Albert Lee Facebook group recently, of an AL HH Orange Sparkle but with no block inlays and no neck binding. I guess it's a regular AL HH but with that finish? I have no idea where or how they got it. I am completely in love with it and I would be searching the internet to find one if I had the money :)

Yes that was an artist one off. Not offered to general public. You could buy and 2 AL's (the limited edition Orange Crush and one with the rosewood neck and do a neck swap) I saw that as well and thought it looked stellar!!!

Ahh ok I did wonder if it was because she was an EBMM artist. Well that's the answer then; get famous, get on the roster, hope they still have the paint ;)
