Sold a Luke, shipped via USPS (I know, my first mistake), and now (12 days later) USPS is telling me it's lost. My obvious question: how do you lose a four foot box? So, I'm guessing it has "walked away". Please keep an eye out for a 2014 Luke BFR Koa top Island Burst with serial number "G57545" ... absolutely spotless. If your the schmuck that stole this guitar (I know, I'm assuming it is) please watch the lovely movie featuring the awesome actor, Liam Neeson, Taken.

PM me if you've seen it. Thanks!

That sucks man!! No insurance or anything on the parcel from USPS?
Thanks Brother. Typical worst case scenario... first time EVER I shipped uninsured... like an idiot. I've spent hundreds if not thousands on insurance shipping a ton of guitars and hadnt so much as a dented box.

Was it insured? What does the tracking number say?
Tracking number says it left Charlotte but never arrived to the next facility. Honestly, everyone at my local PO are great! Live and learn I guess.

Well that sucks, sorry to hear all this man. This happened to my AL coming in from Tuscon, but luckily I found someone at UPS that gave a crap helped me track it down. Good luck, I hope all goes well. You got a picture of it?

I happen to have serial G57542 and our tops look very much alike. I have my all of my EBMM serials memorized so it's not asking much to keep an eye out for another one that is so close to my #1. Best of luck.

Man, I hope that still turns up for you somewhere in the USPS system - stranger things have happened. I'd be so bummed in your shoes... (Recommits to always pay for the insurance.)

Definitely watch for USPS lost package auctions. In one case a guy found his own books for sale at an auction, right during the show he was supposed to have been selling them at. Hopefully it turns up. Otherwise, I hope it was fully insured. That really sucks.

Yeah Guys and Gals, PLEASE learn from my mistake. I will never ship without insurance again... and most likely never using USPS again. Again, how can u lose a four foot tall box?!?

THANK U! Didn't even know that existed. My name/address is inside and all over the outside of that box so I hope it doesn't end up there.

I've had both UPS and FedEx damage guitars the same amount of times. They are both equally untrustworthy IMO.

And I've also come to realize that putting fragile stickers all over the box seems to increase the chance of damage, so I never do that anymore. Just bite the bullet for insurance and hold my breath. Sucks.

Hope it turns up!

FWIW... I’ve shipped UPS insured and had damage. They denied my claim stating there was not 2 inches of packing material around the entire package... which is what they require apparently... not that my hometown store informed me of this when they sold me the insurance!

Moral of the story is... there’s almost always a loophole that will screw you anyway!

What a sad story. I hate people. I doubt it's lost. More likely it "walked away." Ask around at music stores in your state, ask them to be on the lookout. It's possible some junkie may sell it to get his/her next fix. Also watch the online auction sites - eBay, Reverb, etc. My wish is you get lucky and find the bastard. But don't take the law into your own hands. Just be happy if you get it back and play your a** off !
