I'm really interested in purchasing a new JP 15 in Quilt Cerulean Paradise.

When looking at pictures on the site, you can really see that there's a green tint to the guitar.

However, the images that I'm finding outside of the EBMM website are pretty different.

For example:

I know that the camera color balance can affect this but it does look pretty different.

Is this expected ?

All three pics look amazing lol And this is coming from a guy who would never buy a blue or green guitar.

I bet there are SOME differences, not two guitars are the same, right? Camera angle and lighting would play a role as well.

You can't go wrong either way. Good hunt.

This is a very classic issue. Colours and photographs.

It takes a good amount of first-hand experience to be able to accurately guess how the colour looks like without having seen it.

The quilted maple certainly makes things tougher. You should ask for more pictures and specify that the seller should send you the pictures that are representative.

Based on my experience, the guitar under light will look more like the 1st picture and in a dimly lit space like the 3rd.

Again, the quilted maple is a very important factor on its own right. It really adds a 3D effect on the guitar. Rest assured however that this guitar will look both like the 1st and 3rd pictures under different angles and intensity of lighting.

In 3 words, go for it =D

The center color will be slightly different on each guitar as each piece of maple will take the stain differently. I'll have a quilt top Cerulean arriving for store stock later this week and can update with some very accurate photos.

Translucent blue colors are the bane of photographers worldwide. The maple underneath can vary in color, being more yellow sometimes, and also the lights used for some types of photography may have some yellow in them.

I have a Steve Morse in Morse blueburst, and it looks different pretty much every time I take a picture of it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Have you received the new axe ?
