Oh man - I usually don't care for burl but something about the green and natural binding does it for me! My countertops feel personally attacked however, hah!I know I should keep my comments to myself, but those Burl make me want to Hurl. Especially that '80s green formica countertop.
Ah beans - I can delete the post if it is in bad form. I check the vault periodically since some stuff can come and go pretty quick, and try to share it here so hopefully a forum member can grab them first. @DrKev @beejI think this might be the first time in a few years that someone in Europe wasn't the first to leak the BFR release! Hahaha
Ditto. Also, seeing pics of the back of it with that black limba with the green stain... that was the first time the grain of limba wood really wowed me. The way that looks with the grain/stain-- it's almost exactly what I've wanted the body of a Valentine to look like (if I ever become an EBMM artist and I get my custom "Trans Pistachio Burst" Valentine-- that's a good idea of what I want-- with just a slightly darker green burst around the edge). I don't know if ash could look that way or if it would have to be black limba- and I have no idea of the weight of black limba vs swamp ash. But damn, that grain with that particular shade of green is as good as it gets for me. It's too nice to just be relegated to the back of an instrument!I always think of pictures from the space telescopes when I see colored burls like the Morse. Absolutely gorgeous.
Me too! Some of the finishes the Luke and Majesty guitars have had are ones I'd love to see on a Valentine.Ditto.
