I was wondering if it is possible to drop MM90 pick ups into an Axis Super Sport that came with humbuckers? Thanks for the help.

Others will be able to respond with greater authority, but, like most other guitars/pickups, going from HB to P90 will most likely require routing, those pickups are too wide to fit in an HB slot. Other issue is you'll have to find the MM90s used-EBMM won't sell them to you as replacements for other pickups, only as replacements for the same pickup in the case of damage and non function. They won't sell you mm90 pickups to put in a 2 HB or SSS guitar.

So it's technically possible. But not without mods and not through EBMM. And I've never seen MM90's hit the used market places, I'm guessing because people REALLY love them (I have limited experience with them, through repairing other people's instruments, they do indeed sound glorious).

Routing would be required.
Hello

P90 are great. You can try to put some P90 in humbucker format, like the Seymour Duncan Phat Cat :
Seymour Duncan SPH90-1B Nickel Cover
I'll add these as an option.... they are fantastic!

Thanks all, this is what I figured, but I wanted to make sure.

No, I don’t already own the guitar, but I’m in the market for one. On such a high end guitar I really want it to look exactly how I want it, and there are just significantly more options for finishes in the humbucker versions, along with roasted flamed neck etc…

That being said, the MM90 is the most important part.

They are out there and I have them on my AL and really love them. Find what you want and get it without having to rework.

You looking for an ASS MM90's, trem?
