Why non locking tuners? Locking tuners is one of my main loves of EBMM

Locking tuners IMHO are more of a convenience when changing strings than anything. I don't think they actually help with tuning stability over conventional tuners if you wind the string correctly. I think most tuning issues come at the nut or the bridge, not the tuners. ymmv.

Sorry have to disagree, locking tuners IMO do provide better tuning stability, I have a LP non locking and have to tune it constantly where I have EBMM with locking, one I rarely play and it is in tune

Also makes string changes a breeze and easier to get back in tune after a string change

I do need a hole in the head.
I put locking tuners on my silhouette, bass guitar.. with very little modification, it was an easy upgrade.
