hey dude,

If you find some time could you upload some pics of Silo Special? I am interested in rosewood board and I am looking for cool body+pickguard combo. So any will do really, of course not the discontiued ones and no gold and stuff like that. I am interested in vintage sunburst with white or black pickguard. Thanks in advance

Hey Philip!
I can start you off with MINE :D. It has a black pearloid guard, and I like it, but I might switch it to regular black and than chrome knobs or I will put a white pearloid for fun. But anyway, I love the color and either of these pickguards I think look pretty cool on the VSB color. It's pretty hard to capture this color properly, but I think the FIRST picture represents it pretty nicely.

P.S. I just took these now for you to look at while Foggy roams around his library :D.

wow thanks man, you rock. Yeah I also think that black or tortshell (spelling?) pupguard would look much nicer with this color. I'm thinking about dropping my Petrucci on da bay and buying a Silo Special. I think that I am more of the single coil guy. I like my Pet very much. It's most comfortable axe I have ever played. It's the clean sound which isn't doing exactly what I want. I just miss that clean blues/Satch wanking on the neck pickup. Petrucci is super smooth on distortion but on clean it doesn't sound how I would like it to.

Thanks for the pics

yeah I thought about throwing in some new neck pup. But as I remember John used an Air Norton in his Ib@nez and got that more bluesy/twangy sound and that was the sound I was aiming for. EBMM also have a little bit modified Air Norton but it is a lot warmer sounding to my ears. It is great for soloing. It's so sweet like a honey but no twang here
Dude, your English is great- I'm just having fun! I'm only fluent in one language, and sometimes I'm not even sure about that :D

heh ok, I thought I screwed something in the title. It'd be highly probable
