Played My First Ever Gig!

I'm not in a band (yet) but I subbed for a few practices while the regular bassist was on vacation. Because of this they were cool enough to let me sit in and play a set last Friday at the Oxbow Cafe.

Playing live is really cool! I have to find my own band! For the "no pics, no gig" crowd, here's a shot my wife snapped. My Bongo sounded awesome, especially through the regular guy's Ampeg rig.

Some of you who may drive 84 West through Hartford or hit the Westfarms Mall may recognize the female singer from the New Britain Hospital ads.

Playing live is awesome - I only get the opportunity 4-6 times a year, but love it! Nothing like energy from the crowd!

Good luck with finding a regular band - worth the effort in my book!

My Bongo sounded amazing too! There were 3 times in the two plus years I've owned this bass where I've thought of trading due to GAS. Every time I plugged it in and jammed out for a couple of hours and realized "What the hell was I thinking?!?" Now I know; my Bongo isn't going anywhere!

I raise my glass in a toast to EBMM and their awesome craftsmanship. Thank you for making such wonderful instruments!

Now I gotta get into a regular gig! Man! What a rush!
