You could always get an amp that lets you choose between a solid state pre and a tupe pre.


that's why I love my Peavey TMax...able to choose tube pre, solid state pre or a blend of the two. Perfect for what I wanted and at $99 used, it was impossible to pass up. My apologies to those bassists offended by inexpensive gear, I am a poor working stiff. ;)

It doesn't matter if your shoes cost $1 or $1000, as long as they do what you want them to do it's all good.

BTW - Whoever here hasn't owned and played Peavey please raise your hand.
(I doubt if very many hands went up.) ;)

I love my Peavey, but I would definitely consider an Eden head if I had the money.
