LOL! Thanks. I guess I have a style, even though I don't mean to. :)

My Mesa F-100 is doing great. I've had it for over 3.5 years and it still makes me smile.

BTW, do I know you from another forum as well?

I post on a couple of other forums, JP, B&M, and I check the F series quite a bit. I have learned much from that thread about my amp. I have not posted on there because I am still learning and really don't have much to share yet. You do some great work.:)

Thanks. It's nice to hear that you appreciate my work. :)

IMO, you really should sign in on the F-series thread. Even just a sign-in post describing what kind of music you play and your other gear is interesting to me. Also, if you have any clips to share that would be great. BTW, there are plenty of guys who've not even purchased an F-series amp that take part.

New Axe

Hey All,
Thought it was about time I said hi. The new 20th with the piezo is totally killer! It really is the best sounding axe I've heard from Musicman. I've been getting more confortable with it every night and used it on most of the set the last few nights. I recorded most of the clean sections on the new record with an Axis and the dirty leads with the Petrucci. This guitar is a great combination of both. Great clean sounds with big thick leads. I'm loving it. BTW, thanks to Jon for setting it up so beautifully! I'll try and check in now and then when I can. Back to my new baby!!

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone. If I didn't like nuts I wouldn't be the "Nutboy", haha. Of course Jon plugs us...There's a pretty girl in the band:D

I've been really stoked I can finally do finger fades without pulling my pinky out of its socket. Uh, that all sounds very strange. I'll try and post some clear pics of the top when I get a chance.

Same here...cant wait to see some cool close up shots. Hey Travis, is it possible for this guitar becoming your No. 1? Seems like it's workin out very well. I cant wait to get mine, but no piezo on this one. But my Axis SS will have one sometime earlier next year :D.
Ummm, couple more questions actually, if you dont mind.....since I am big fan of your music :)!
1. Any chance of coming to the east coast (NY area) on any up coming tours?
2. How much of your playing and composition was influenced by Mr. Steve Morse (the God :D)?

We're working on doing some stuff on the East Coast next year hopefully. I'm using the Silo on about half the set right now. The only problem is that I don't want to mount a guitar synth on it because it's so pretty, haha. I use a synth quite a bit to cover album parts http://www.shadow-electronics.com/start.html . Uhh..Steve who? HAHA! Yes Steve is one of my biggest influences! Especially on the earlier records, but even the new one has some Morseisms. We've played with both SMB and the Dregs. All very cool guys. There have been several cool hangs and Steve is well aware of my love for his playing. Best musicians out there! So back to the business at hand. Check out the new baby! Thanx for answering the questions Travis. That's some good news about the east coast next year....I am here all the time, hahaha.
Maybe you can call up Steve and tell him to go on couple one off gigs on the east coast. He usually stops by BB Kings in NYC, where I saw him twice. Must be great hangin with someone like Steve, and getting jam. I must accelarate my music studies and playing so I can hang with him AND You in the future....hehehe.
I'm definatly going to check out the new album.
The Silo looks freakin great, and I can see how you dont want to cover a good amount of the top with a black box, hahaha. Maybe you can put the synth on the back....hehe, j/k.
Anyway, thanx for answering, and hopefully you'll come by NY next year. I'll buy you a beer or whatever you're drinkin :). See ya around.
