"Like New. A customer of ours has to liquidate a bunch of basses he just bought. This is one of the brand new 30th ann. in crimson red."

For some reason I would think that if this were a customer of yours, you would know a little more about the product. Sometimes I'm just amazed at how little information people put into their Ebay posts and then expect to get top dollar.

Nothing surprises me on eBay these days. I haven't bought anything on the Bay in years. Doesn't seem to be a bad price, if it is in fact mint. Thought maybe someone around here would be interested, as these don't come up used much yet.

That is a good price. I'd consider it if I didn't already have one. That's the second used 30th I've seen on ebay.

I'm not saying it's a bad price. I just think that if you are going to sell something in that price range you should prepare your presentation. It should, IMHO, include enough information about the product so that someone who doesn't know what a 30th anniversary Stingray is would know what they are looking at. It may look "crimson red" to the person that listed it, but we all know that it's much more than that.

I agree. Good pictures and a detailed description go a long way when selling used gear.

I agree with everything you said, but I'm guessing that someone who knows what it is will hit the BIN button before the auction ends. If it wasn't a BIN auction with a reasonable price, then a better description and pics would likely mean extra $$$ in the seller's pocket, but he chose to set a firm price and he'll probably get it. The few basses I've sold (or tried to sell) on ebay have all featured detailed descriptions and lots of pics, but I was trying to get as much as I could, usually because I needed the cash to buy another bass. That's how I got my 30th. :)

Bill, you need to take a trip to The Perfect Bass. James has a 30th or two in stock, plus lots of other cool EB stuff.
