KBaim just called me and since the Calif. Morse shows are coinciding nicely with NAMM, I will able to check one show out.

Man, it will be a nice stretch seeing both Morse & Jeff Beck in a matter of months....now if I can only get to Albert Lee

The Spin Doctors are still going????????

I was thinking the same thing, l guess they aren't going as strong as what they once were, what?? it would be about 10 years now. Now they are playing 500 seat dives.

The Imac is thankfully one of the rare sit down theaters on their tours.
Having to stand in a club and not being able to see totally blows the enjoyment.
Some people like it, though.

Not to get too far off topic but Mark White of the Spin Doctors is a great Sting Ray player actually a member of the forum

I saw the dregs on the divided we stand tour. They were amazing. I saw the Steve Morse Band on the Stressfest tour. They were amazing. I vividly remember the Morse concert because Steve was playing one of his EBMM guitars with a piezo pickup on it and announced that he was going to play three of his acoustic pieces. I called out "Foriegn Exchange" from the audience as he was trying to think of the name of the third tune and he just about dropped his guitar pick because that was the name of the tune he ended up playing. He's amazing.

Hey-what's wrong with Toad's Place??? Pretty far from a "dive" IMO. A nice mid-sized club with good acoustics and pretty easy on-street parking. When I lived in Fairfield, CT it was a 25 minute drive and shows hardly ever sold out. A lot of pretty big names tend to use Toads for warm-up shows early in tours. Most of the time you can stand right alongside of the stage. I've been 20 feet away from the stage for SMB/Dregs shows, Cheap Trick, Todd Rundgren, and a bunch more. I miss Toads a lot living in the South now-I have to drive 2 hours to Charlotte for a lot of shows because Raleigh is a 2nd tier market.
